The Gardener: History, Evolution, and Future Challenges

The Italian Association of Green Professionals (AIPV) will launch a new project aimed at enhancing the role of the gardener and raising awareness about the challenges related to climate change and technological evolution in the sector.
The innovative format includes a series of one-day itinerant events, one for each region, starting in February 2025 and lasting for about 24 months. The goal is to promote the role of the gardener on the local level and address the main challenges facing the profession.

These meetings will provide an opportunity to share experiences, identify innovative solutions, and create synergies between companies and industry professionals.
The program for each event will feature a mix of speakers: industry professionals and technicians, representatives from public institutions, professional associations, and manufacturers.
The contributions from the speakers, gathered during the various events, will be compiled into a single final document.

First stop: February 28, 2025, in Marche, Macerata, at the Aula Magna “Nazareno Strampelli” – I.I.S. G. Garibaldi.
Each event will feature 14 speakers and 5 technical partners, addressing 3 key topics:
• Historical analysis of the evolution of the gardener’s role through various periods, the changes in gardens and their styles.
• Training and specialization of professionals related to the positioning and needs of the locations.
• Future projections related to the challenges imposed by climate change.
